If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know that I super love weekend because it is my getaway from stressful life. I must say, I am very into wearing swim wear, using my pink flamingo float, enjoying the sunshine and eating tropical fruits. I don’t have the rules or structured plans on weekend, I go with the flow! 🙂 Although I still work in the day and I check my emails here and there but I know when to chill and when to catch up with friends online.
Singapore has been an amazing place for me to live. I love the fact that locals are open-minded, they don’t care about what you wear or who you are in a relationship with. When you walk around in a sexy outfit or if you look weird, they won’t give you an ignorant look. They know that Singapore is a modern city surrounded by people from all walks of life. Plus, the food is great, weather is fantastic and the positive vibe is contagious. I believe that once I am ready to relocate somewhere, I will find a place where it is whole year summer, people are open minded [or liberal], they love to have beautiful tan skin and there are tons of tropical food. Is California ring the bell to you? 🙂 hehehe

Some of my readers asked me [on email: email@example.com] how to unwind from a stressful life. I am no by means a guru and sometimes I have no idea how I manage my stress but here are my realistic tips.
HUSTLE ON WEEKDAYS AND CHILL ON WEEKEND.
We all work hard for ourselves and for our loved ones but I also believe that if you are too exhausted from work you will be grumpy, over thinker, and you will whine about every thing because you’re not in a mood.
I suggest to chill on weekend whether that means you do nothing, listen to music or audio book, eat your favourite meals, catch up with friends, or read a book. Whatever that will help your mind to unwind and not to over think about things. Do it.
I usually swim on weekend, I eat my favourite meals, I spend about an hour reading lifestyle book that are good for my soul, sometimes I cook and I enjoy watching Netflix TV series. Lately, I am watching Goliath, it’s a series about a ‘low-key lawyer’ trying to beat all the giant corporate and cartel cases. I like it. I finished the season 2 last night and it was fun.
If you’re a hustler on weekdays you need to stop on weekend and daydream to allow your mind to wander. I usually chill on my balcony not just because I love the view but also because I like to daydream – to think of the possibilities in life. I picture myself in a positive situation and I include my loved ones in that picture.
Here in my balcony at home, I daydream to make our cosmetics line an MNC. I daydream to make it successful. I have daily struggles but I always believe that nothing is impossible if you’re sincere in your dream and if you are passionate in what you do.
DON’T CHASE PERFECTION.
To live in a city is stressful because this also means the apartment rent is expensive, people are competitive, expats come, and go and basically you will change your friends every 2-3 years because the cost of living is expensive and thus not everyone can afford it. It is hard and it is harder to chase perfection to stay in the game.
In my start-up life, I am perfectionist, highly opinionated and confrontational person. I confront my fears and I confront people who are trying to cross the line. But in my private life, I’m definitely very chill, I go with the flow, and I don’t aim to make things perfect. I like to make mistakes here and there. And I laugh about it.
It may not sound interesting to you but general cleaning on weekend can be fun too. I usually don’t clean at home because I have a helper but I enjoy cooking and doing chores. I let my son get involve in cleaning and he loves organizing his cabinet.
WATCH A MOVIE
I am not a movie enthusiast but I don’t mind to watch one ‘blockbuster’ movie per month. I can either watch a movie alone or I tag someone to join me. Last Friday, I watched the #CrazyRichAsians movie and it was fun. My favourite? I have no favourite scene lol but I enjoyed the wagyu beef burger at Gold Class.
TAKE A NAP
I don’t take a nap in the afternoon and I don’t sleep more than 7-8 hours but I usually crash in the bed on weekend afternoon. I like to have a power nap.
HAVE A GOOD SEX.
Warning: this statement is NOT for people age below 18. 🙂
I believe that sex is like any physical activity, it is good for your heart. Of course, lah don’t do it with random people. I am referring to healthy sex with your partner. According to American journal of cardiology, that people who have sex twice weekly are less risky to have cardiovascular disease, like stroke or heart attack than those who had no sex.
A good sex can give you less stress and lower blood pressure. And when you have it right in a calm situation, it will help you to calm down. Plus, when you have a fantastic sex with your partner you can possibly have better sleep and you will be in happier mood in the morning.
DON’T PAY ATTENTION TO NEGATIVE VIBES.
When someone insult me for whatever purpose, I don’t pay attention. I have a thick skin and I’m not sensitive. I can take all the mean criticisms, rejection and insults and yet I can stay calm. The secret is I don’t let the negative vibes of people get into me. I stay focused on my goals, happiness and all my desires in life. To hate people it require a lot of time and energy. My time and energy are important and it cannot be wasted to people who are not important.
BLOGGING CAN BE RELAXING TOO!
You may be wondering why I am into blogging? Nope. I’m not after ‘attention’ or ‘product sponsorship’…I desire to share my passion in writing, photography, and I enjoy coding WordPress theme. I’m a self-taught basic coder for blog design and when I am stress, I divert my attention to improving my blog design. I also love reading and following other bloggers’ stories most of them are inspirational. It is like seeing yourself in an e-Magazine customized by you.
