That ’70s outfit on a Saturday date: Plus, wearing #MNsummer matte liquid lipstick shade.
THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO ONLY WEAR [PRETTY] CLOTHES ‘BECAUSE THERE’S SPECIAL OCCASION’ OR ‘THEY HAVE TO’. BE WARNED: THIS ARTICLE IS NOT FOR THEM!
This article is for ladies and mothers who love a simple transformation. That magical moment where you get a nice dress for a price of S$39 and match it with a simple sunglass for the price of S$5.That moment when you look at the mirror and told yourself, ‘I want that dress and that lady in that dress. She’s will look beautiful when she wears it’. Sometimes, to indulge in fashion is a way of distress.I have no qualifications to give you fashion 101 advice. I never done any fashion show or have a fashion blog other than I have an eye for details and I know exactly what looks nice on me and what aren’t. And this is what I hope to share with you: my perspectives, fun experience and passion.
Yesterday (Friday) I went to Ion mall in Orchard to send some items for shipping to SingPost and after my errands I drop by in Forever 21 shop. I wasn’t planning to buy anything but I really want 2 or 4 decent new clothes. Whilst browsing I realized the theme of F21 is ‘70s; kinda vintage and classic. Something I know I will like it and will be comfortable to wear it. I found two decent dress/short and one classic shirt that have ‘Coast to Coast’ print in it. I find it cool so I grabbed it and went straight to the cashier. Whilst queuing I saw one last piece of ‘70s shades, it so brown, round and vintage. I imagine myself to have a #GigiHadid moment when I wear it. 😉I got everything I needed for the price of less than sixty bucks. To look good isn’t about wearing the most expensive brand; it is not about money or status. It is about your style and how comfortable you are when you wear it. And when you are comfortable, you will look confident. When I got home, I told my husband that I want us to have a simple date on the weekend. “let’s have brunch in town”, I said. And he finds the idea cute that I want to date him on Saturday, ha ha! When people asked me where did you get your inspiration or happiness? Actually I got it from no one. I created it. Sometimes in life you do not have to look for happiness, or ways to have fun. You cannot always expect people to give it to you. Essentials on weekend: my fashion guru, Vitcoria Beckham book, ’70s shade from F21 (5 bucks only!), Jo Malone London travel size perfume, Eyebrows pallete, and #Minnesotasummer super matte liquid lipstick shade. I had a coffee at our new favourite local kopi shop in Orchard. Whilst drinking coffee I was checking your e-mails and orders. Thank you! ☺ The Minnesota summer matte liquid lipstick is so versatile that you can wear it daily, and/or on special date with your hubby. It will look nice on you without getting too much attention.
