Finally, I am home back to a busy and beautiful city. I had a fantastic trip in the States and my favourites are visiting the loved ones and eating lots of food. Yes, I gained weight and yes, I’m happy and inspired. 😃 😃
When I landed in SG the very first thing I did was to message my close friends on Whatsapp, “hey, boo I’m in town msg me when ya all free to catch up.” Honestly though it is not easy to meet my friends all at the same time because they travel on a weekly or monthly basis and so, I have to schedule our meet up before they book a Grab to Changi airport. I’m happy to know that Paivikki is in town before she fly back to Finland and two of my good friends, Dicson and Karina have time to meet me at Raffles.
But before the meet ups and one glass of Bottega Moscato Rose Petalo Dell’amore (what??) I spend less than 40 mins dolling up using these products. I have to tell ya, I don’t mean to ‘over doll-up’ but it is my courtesy to polish myself when I’m meeting people. Who would like to meet a lady if her hair is full of dandruff, she is smelly, and her hair is very oily? Yikes. That’s said I make efforts in making myself look and feel good on the outside but most importantly on the inside.
Dove SG sent me products for anti-hair fall along with a free styler iron which is 2-in-1 where I can use it to straight or curl my hair. The products look great because I can use it for the next month. Plus, the 2-in-1 styler straightener and curler with ceramic ionic technology is useful for my every week glam up session.
The hair straightener and curler is light and it is easy to use.
When I opened the box the product looks lovely. I like that it is practical to use it.
In this video I am using the selfie stick for the first time. I got the 2-in-1 selfie stick at Lucky Plaza in basement 1 near the money charger for 50 bucks. The uncle gave me a discount because according to him I look like a poor foreign student. So, I accepted the discount. lol Why not? 🙂
While filming the selfie video I realized there is a rainbow. What a lovely day!
Before I apply a casual make-up I used some skin protector to have radiant skin. I used the vitamin C serum from Nourish and skin reflector from ABC Shop (you can buy their products on Facebook).
I haven’t done any botox (not yet!) it is because I’ve been taking care of my skin since I was 23 years old. My mother told me, taking care of your skin isn’t about avoiding to age. It is about protecting yourself against skin damage and over exposure from the sun that can cause skin cancer.
I like when things are organized because I’m OCD (he he) and I like when I can easily find my stuff.
I received the latest collection of Victoria Secret from Aisha. I love the Twist of watermelon fragrance lotion and the Aqua Kiss water blooms. It smells so refreshing.
This one is my favourite because it is easy to carry and I can use it when I travel. I like to moisturize my skin, especially I type on a keyboard for few hours and sometimes my fingers and hands can easily get dry. With my type of work, it is important for me to take care of my skin.
After my glam up session at home, I booked a Grab to Central. I mentioned on the app that “Clarke Quay Central mall” but the driver dropped me off at Central Mall which is a different location on the other side of the road so I have to walk 10 mins. Whilst walking I realized I have a beautiful view and I decided to take some photos.
Otw to Clarke Quay Central: I found a new love place called Sque, a casual bistro in town where they offer 1-1 drinks from noon to 7pm. I look forward to meeting Paivikki in this place.
On the opposite side of the road you can find Clarke Quay. There are a lot of restaurants, clubs and pubs located in this place. Although I’m not a big fan clubbing but I find Clarke Quay as a chill place to hang out with your mates. I also find this place photogenic and beautiful for landscape photography.
Meeting Paivikki is always refreshing. I like that she is always polish and looking lovely. I’m inspired to connect with women who know how to take care of themselves. 🙂
We had snacks to share with our wine.
When my friends are saying, it is not easy to blog because it is just about ‘maintenance’. I disagree, because when you blog it is not necessary to blog about expensive stuff, to show case pretentious lifestyle or tell people how ‘rich’ you are. One can blog about her normal daily stuff, her values in life, her fun hobbies and sharing her journey. There is nothing wrong in blogging, what is wrong is to use your blog as a platform to degrade or hurt people. I genuinely believe that blogging should be a platform to express yourself.
Like many women, I’m also not confident. I have a lot of insecurities and self-doubts, sometimes I told myself that I’m not good enough but because I am loved at home, I have a great family and fantastic friends I remind myself that I should remain motivated in life because there more than 10,000 reasons to stay happy, to be inspired and to keep going. Of course, your energy is always not going to be great all the time. Realistically speaking you will experience a lot of swing moods and self-doubt but every time you feel less of yourself, get out of your house, enjoy the sunshine, connect with your friends and enjoy the day. 🙂
I like to hang out with Paivikki because she is not mean and she is easy going. I like that she doesn’t have to belittle other women to make herself look better. I always believe that if someone is mean she is unhappy in life. Honestly though, from the bottom of my sincere and fabulous heart, I’m going to miss her a lot once she move to India.
Many of you asked me who is Paivikki. Relax I didn’t sign-up on Meet-up to find circle of friends. lol. I met her through her husband who is our partner/shareholder in the business. Paivikki is a fantastic person inside and out. Currently she and her baby daddy has a tech company in India/Finland and I’m so excited for her to launch it. I will share it with you soon.
Her dress is from Zara. My outfit is from Target. It is rare that I wear printed top because I only like plain fabric with no extra designs.
We are loving the sunshine in Singapore.
After meeting I went to a casual Mexican bistro to have my early dinner. Obviously I can’t get over the Mexican food in L.A. (lol).
Shortly after my early dinner I went to Raffles Place to meet Karina and Dicson. We didn’t have much photos because we talk too much. ha ha.
When I got home I used the Neutrogena deep clean oil-free make-up remover to get rid of my make-up. I don’t sleep with make-up because it is not good for the skin. People who sleep with their make-up can possibly have pimples. After I cleaned up, I crashed in the bed and I was exhausted so, my sincere apologies if I haven’t answered your emails because since I took 3 weeks of holiday I received almost 1,000 emails and until now I am filtering it to get rid of the spam and to prioritize the important ones. I promise that I will work on my e-mails this weekend and I will reply to your inquiries as soon as I can. My only request is that please do not call me at this time, because I may not be able to response to any problems. I have to read the emails first and understand what are the pending issues. Once done I will call back. 🙂
Have a great weekend!
